I was soooooooo surprized at just how popular this picture turned out to be! I posted it, and in just afew min' it got 43 views & 6 favorites... it's more than that now!
These are more of a rough colored ideals of my playing with colors and possibilties... lot's of day dreaming going into these... ironicly, Starbucks went back to their old Logo (for their New Logo) of a double tailed Mermaid...
Still unsure what I want to call them: Undines, Mermaids, Melusine (after teh famous ancient fairy tale), Nixies, water sprites, ellementals, etc...
I'd been wanting to get some sort of picture to flow out of me for quite some time of this specific theme... I'd also like to do more like this...
But, for a while, I just couldn't quite get it to come out right...

Interestingly, There was a Web Seminar held last month, which I was participating in. And, when I was listening along with the 1st guided Flowdreaming I kept seeing the dragon which I tend to see in my sleeping dreams. I kept seeing his tail, and his scale, and my arms were holding onto him and he was pulling me along.
Usually, this Drgaon (Chinese) is white and golden.

Way back when I went to college in Philadelphia, I was given an opertunity to enter a contest gievn by a local Hospitol. It was something about a new hospitol or a renewed one... I forget...
Well, I made this picture of what I called "Gaiya" whcih is also called "Mother Earth" or the Spirit of the Earth Planet. (Perseiving the Planet as a living being with a Soul).
For some reason, when i made this old peice I felt I needed to put the goddess's hand into a flow of water. It made perfect and profound sence to me back then...
Flowdreaming inspired Art: The "As You Wish" Goddess
Here's an older peice of art... I liked the idea of my goddess cartoon charecter in a flowing water... she's holding a "Ru Yi" whcih means "As You Wish" or "As You Will" in chinese... it's kind of a septor, and it's very symbolic. It is most ssignifigant when someone gives you one... but, in Chinese mytholpgy as Ruyi is also magical. And, there are other kinds of magical objects and toodl whcih are described as "ruyi" even if they aren;t shaped like one. These objects can change into anything when you wish it or will it to... or can preform great feats.
So, since i like Flowdreaming, it's influenced me... and when I go back to old drawings like this one and see it again, it makes me realize what I was doing... even tho' at that tiem I didn't know what it was... I must've been somewhat aware....

I tend to like various kinds of inspirational things. I am very interested in the manifesting types of movements going on right now. A favorite of mine is "Flowdreaming" by Summer McStravick.
Anyways... I never really see any artwork out there inspired by any of the artists which I've often heard call into the "Flowdreaming" radio show... but, I've surely done some...
